Are You Saved?

My Friends, you don’t have to be a Bible scholar to be saved, but you do have to comply with God’s Plan of Salvation!

God directs that we:

Hear:  Without God, we are lost.  The way to get to God is through Christ.  Acts 4:12: “Neither is there salvation in any other:  for there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved.”

We get to Christ by first hearing the word of God.  Romans 10:17, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

Believe:  We must believe, have faith in what we have heard:  Hebrews 11:6, “But without faith it is impossible to please him:  for he that cometh to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

Repent:  We must make a new life for ourselves, turning away from those things that are not pleasing to God.  Acts 17:30, “And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men everywhere to repent:”

Confess:  We must then be willing to confess the Savior before men.  Matthew 10:32, “Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.”

Be Baptized:  We must then be buried in baptism, immersion in water for the remission of our sins.  In baptism we contact His cleansing blood and our sins are washed away to be remembered no more:  Acts 22:16, “And now why tarriest thou?  Arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.”

When we are baptized, the Lord adds us to the church, the church of God.  Acts 2:47, “And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”

And so why are you waiting?  If you have heard the Word and believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God; you have repented of your sins, and you are ready to confess the name of Jesus before men, get someone to listen to your confession and then baptize you by submersion for the remission of your sins!

Then live the life that God would have you live obeying His will and keeping His Word.

1 John 2:3-6 Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. 4 He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoever keeps His word , truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. 6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked. NKJV
