If God says, "I
will build My church." it is the church of God!
The Bible is truth! And we can understand it when we study it!
We know that Christ was God
before the beginning of time. John 17:24-...for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.

Christ was God when He arrived
on the earth!
Matt 1:20-23
"Joseph, son of David, do
not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her
is of the Holy Spirit. 21 And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call
His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins."
22 So all this was done that it
might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: 23
"Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear
a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel," which is translated, "God with us ." NKJV
He was God all the time He was
here; and of course He was God when He left; and He is still God! The very least we can do is recognize the
church as the church of God the way the Bible does and pay the proper respect
and admiration to God the Father, to God the Son, to the Holy Spirit of God!
John the Baptist went before the Lord God the Christ
preaching the kingdom of heaven (kingdom of heaven = kingdom of God = church of
God) is at hand! Matt 3:1-2 In those days John the Baptist came preaching in
the wilderness of Judea, 2 and saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven
is at hand !" NKJV
When our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ began His ministry He
went about preaching the kingdom of heaven (church of God) is at hand! Matt 4:17
"Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand ." NKJV This is the very kingdom-church of
God that God's Son the Christ will carry to God the Father at the last day! 1 Cor 15:24-25 Then
comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an
end to all rule and all authority and power. 25 For He must reign till He has
put all enemies under His feet. NKJV Please make no mistake about it---it
is the only kingdom (church of God) that, according to Scripture, will go. It is our prayer that we all will be with
it! At the end of this lesson we show
our diagram of it again for your perusal.
This is how it happened:
Matt 16:17-19
17 Jesus answered and said to him,
"Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed
this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.
18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will
build My church (I, God, will build My
church, remember Christ is God!!!), and the
gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.
19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven (kingdom of heaven is the kingdom of God-church of God;
He gave Peter the keys to the kingdom of heaven=kingdom of God (church of God),
which is going to heaven with Christ at the last day!!!), and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven,
and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." NKJV
Certainly there can be no higher honor
or title than God, and no higher church than the church of God!
This is the way our Lord and
Savior and the Holy Spirit of God through inspired writers and without the help
of Satan and his angels of light, directed that the name of the church be
recorded in the Bible for us. And it
will be there eternally for all to see. And it cannot be changed!
Church of God in the Bible:
Acts 20:28 Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all
the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the
church of God which He purchased with His own blood (which He, God the Christ, purchased with His Own blood!). NKJV (the only instances in
Scripture where elders are given instructions is with the church of God!) (Again, please
don't misunderstand what we are saying here!
The elders in the church of God are our contact from God; they are our
link with God-Christ, and He is the Mediator between God and us! Very
important men in the church, these elders!
They hold very important positions in the scheme of things! They are our
earthly leaders! God in the Holy Scriptures has given them no other church
except the church of God! They are very carefully selected. They are godly men who should help get us to
God-they should be appointed as soon as possible when a new congregation of the
church is established! They care for
our souls!)
The Holy Spirit of God and our Lord and Savior
the Christ gave instructions to elders of the church of God so it is official,
Christ will take the church of God (kingdom) to God the Father at the last day,
so again it is official. God is in
charge. The Bible is truth and it will
endure forever! It will never change,!

We worship when we assemble ourselves together, as a
congregation. Usually, this assembling takes place at the church building, but
not necessarily so; it could be any location where we decide to assemble to
worship. A

What must one do
to be saved?
God directs that we:
Hear: Without God, we are lost. The way to get to God is through our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Acts 4:12: “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved.”
We get to Christ by first hearing/studying the word of God, the source of our faith. Romans 10:17, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
Believe: We must believe, have faith in what we have heard: Hebrews 11:6, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.”
Repent: We must make a new life for ourselves, turning away from those things that are not pleasing to God. Acts 17:30, “And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men everywhere to repent:”
Confess: We must then be willing to confess the Savior before men. Matthew 10:32, “Whosoever therefore shall confess Me before men, him will I confess also before My Father Which is in heaven.”
Be Baptized: We must then be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, by immersion in water. In baptism we contact Christ's cleansing blood and our sins are washed away to be remembered no more: Acts 22:16, “And now why tarriest thou? Arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.”
When we are baptized, we are added to the church. Acts 2:47, “And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”
And so why are you waiting? If you have heard the Word and you believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God; you have repented of your sins, and you are ready to confess the name of Jesus Christ before men, get someone to listen to your confession and then baptize you by submersion for the remission of your sins!
Then live the life that God would have you live, being faithful to His word. I John 1:7, “But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His son cleanseth us from all sin.” Then please read/study your Bible daily to keep your salvation sure.
James 1:27
27 Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble , and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.
